Golden Rules
- The 90-Day Rule: Most countries allow up to 90 days supply. Bringing 6 months' worth can look like smuggling.
- The Letter: Carry a fresh letter from your psychiatrist dated within 30 days of travel. It should verify your diagnosis and need for the medication.
- Packaging: Never mix pills in a ziplock bag. Officers need to see the foil blister pack or pharmacy bottle facts.
High Risk Countries
Be extra vigilant in Japan, UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. These nations have specific lists of allowed vs prohibited psychotropics.
